Plans to Redevelop and Sustain the Area

The following are short samples of the ways in which we're working to improve Brownsville for ourselves and future generations:

Tourism

(list sites as Castle, Flatiron, First Cast Iron bridge, wharf, churches then have breakdown of Architecture, churches, bridges, heritage sites, historic districts)List all of these on a Map showing location, / Link all local and county wide tourism sites Develop tours on the river.

Recreation

(Hillman Park, local neighborhood parks Include School site of sports, football schedule, basketball male female, soccer for small children as well as school, little league schedule, etc There are many groups who manage these Youth Sports. Develop boat docks on the wharf site. Develop a river walk along the Monongahela River

Education

Develop a virtual classroom in the community. Develop a fine arts school in the community/ list info about schools, names, locations contact and /or link if they have a site

Housing

what is available and names of realtors/ Info about our vacant buildings available and space available for rent/ Offer space for locals to advertise for a nominal fee.

Business/Chamber Info

Small business info index, show how to contact Score or local universities for assistance/ New Resident info, who are the utility companies, garbage contact all with phone numbers, info about recycling, info about car registration and inspection requirements, where to pay taxes and what taxes are required

Culture

Develop sites for artists lofts and galleries to compliment the Frank L. Melega Art Museum located in the Flatiron building. Develop river art shows, craft shows, etc.
